A nifty very useful app less than 1 megabyte for your android phone

I’m just thinking if maybe someone want an apps that very small in size but very useful in life, and actually will use it a lot ;-) here are some of my nifty apps that really really make your day easier in life.

if you’re curious with your carrier data packet that often get run out quickly and want to monitor or want to get notified before it run out or manage your bill, go check it for 3G WatchDog a small apps about 900kb.

Want to save your data packet while you’re browsing, don’t miss this Opera Mini its really save your 3G Data its about 800kb

Saw some barcode, QRcode, Data Matric or else at the event or mini market, scan it with Barcode Scanner from zxing team, easy and practice its only 500kb or less depend on your device.

Someone just ask you about history, famous people, tour guide, or else. Surely you need to check the famous Wiki Encyclopedia from wiki apps, its about 700kb

Have a twitter account, facebook, or foursquare, and want to get update from your friends every each day, take a look at TweetDeck from twitter its only 800kb

Want to get fast to open your Video Recording, without having to open the native camera app, just go for Camcorder shortcut , very small its only 15kb

Need to have your shopping list or Task list very quick on the go, just go for ColorNote Notepad Note from notes, its only 600kb

Want to take a snapshot of your dog, friends gathering or a fantastic view from your phone and want to put cool effect for your photo, you may want to check Vignette (Paid App but worth it) only for 172kb

Boring with your default Photo Gallery and want to have something that more sophisticated, take a look at QuickPic believe me its worth downloading, only for 360kb

Boring and want to prank some one photo, adding a bubble, mustache or else. Check this cool PicSay – Photo Editor the size is less than 1 Mb,  great and fast too :-)

Gone hiking with friends, lost in the jungle, need a flashlight, compass, stopwatch, a ruler. Don’t worry just download this Swiss Army Knife only 400kb you get all in one packet :-)

Want to get very quickly to turn off/on your wifi, 3G connection, or GPS. Take a look at Quick Settings only 400kb, it will make a short cut on your top bar phone.

Feel hopeless when you loss your phone and dunno how to find it, don’t worry! Borrow your friend phone and text this “Wheres my droid” to your phone number, you will be sent  your phone location and make your phone ring loudly automatically, and its only 600kb

Want to get alert when there is no phone signal around, you need to have this on your phone No Signal Alert only 100kb and really useful :-)

Feel strange about your 3G Connection, the signal is high but u can’t get online, hmm check this with Net Ping, pinging to any site to check if its ok

Attending a big event or a cafe and found many wifi signal, and wondering which is the most strong signal, take a look at Wifi Analyzer only for 500kb

Yup its a wrap, those are apps that I everyday use, and really make my day happy :-)

Berbagi Fotografi dengan Aplikasi Android Gratis

Memasuki dunia android ternyata memang tidak membosankan dari segi banyaknya aplikasi yang menunjang sistem androidnya sendiri serta banyaknya komunitas pengguna android di indonesia.

Dari sekian banyak hal, yang paling menarik perhatian saya adalah “Mobile Photography” yang notabene hal ini sudah sangat mudah dilakukan dengan kemajuan teknologi selular zaman sekarang, ditambah lagi dengan maraknya jejaring sosial yang sangat memungkinkan seorang pengguna untuk langsung mempublikasikan hasil jepretan-nya ke khalayak ramai.

Disini saya akan memberikan sedikit review dari beberapa aplikasi Fotografi untuk android yg mungkin sedang happening dan juga terhitung dari banyaknya komunitas yang menggunakannya.

Twitter Age Gateway Workflow Design

What I’m trying to do here is to explain as easy as possible how to make an age filtering for your twitter follower, as we know that twitter doesn’t support any kind of filtering base on twitter user profile for following your twitter account.

This could be useful when you’re managing any adult or alcohol related twitter account that need legal attention to your follower for publishing related content.

Actually this could be done easily (not so easily if you’re not a developer) by yourself, its required two process,

Daemon Process which is how your system monitoring the followers finding for unverified, blocked, or verified followers from database and twitter API (it will need your twitter username and password or a twitter OAUTH for authentication).

And Follower verifying process, where your follower go to refferral link gateway that included from DM that you sent to your follower for verifying process, follower will be redirected to web page that have form submission to confirm his/her age,gender, etc.  After validation completed you may mark that follower as verified.

Okay now is that for tools to make this happen, I’m gonna use PHP for development so here are some library that you might use :

- PEAR System_Daemon package, or maybe just create simple php script that make process id on background
- TwitterOAuth Library, I’m gonna use Abraham Library
- Small PHP framework like Silex made from Symfony2 mantained by Fabpot
- Or maybe you want to use Ephipany you may bundle it with Twitter-async both maintained by Jason Mathai

Using Facebook Test User

If you don’t know what Facebook Test User is? you may check the documentation on http://developers.facebook.com/docs/test_users/

Test User is a Tool that could be a handy when you need to have some users to interact with your application, facebook currently provide this through Graph Api and you can easily try out with your app application id and secret. And you actually not need the facebook php-sdk you can use your own CURL class lib, you can use my php class on github http://goo.gl/QRz1n

Some Wrapper I’ve made,

Facebook PHP SDK v3.01 now free cookies

Now the new SDK has been released, on the beginning of june 2011 I guess.

Well the main different from v3.00 is? Now the CSRF state is rely on persistent data which is a session named “state” and not using cookie anymore!, and if you see on the constructor , it checks whether session already start yet, giving an option to start the session.
